We are excited to share that Dr. Natalia Zalewska, co-founder of the MIRORES team, was a distinguished speaker at the „Science is a Woman” conference, held on March 15th at the Silesian Planetarium.
During her lecture, „Let’s Fly to Mars!”, Dr. Zalewska delved into her research on the geology of Mars, presenting data collected from Martian satellites and discussing the history of Martian volcanism and sedimentology. She also explored the future of space exploration, highlighting preparations for upcoming missions, including the Artemis program. This ambitious initiative aims to return humans to the Moon and set the stage for future manned missions to Mars.
With extensive experience in Mars analog missions at the MDRS station in Utah, where she served as the commander of the Polish EXO17 crew in 2017, Dr. Zalewska is deeply passionate about space exploration.
The conference gathered exceptional Polish women scientists, each sharing their dedication to various fields of research. Inspired by the legacy of Marie Skłodowska-Curie, the event reinforced the message that science is for everyone.
We are incredibly proud to have such a remarkable researcher on our team!

Stay tuned for more updates from MIRORES as we continue our journey in cutting-edge exploration and scientific discovery!
